Our AI will learn more than text - more than conversation. It will learn from other senses, including sight, sound, and touch. It will interpret facial expression, head movements, body language and even, possibly more subtle cues of social presence such as heart beat.
It will need a robot body to 'live and learn' in the much richer environment - the real world.
