Colloquium on Conversational Systems 2005
An informal one-day meeting was held at the University of Surrey, Guildford, UK, at which invited speakers gave short presentations on aspects of conversational systems.

The Keynote Address was given by Dr Richard S Wallace: The History of ALICE and AIML.

Rollo Carpenter of Icogno gave a presentation entitled . It was a talk on learning, realism, and the power of context, and on personality, creativity and the entertainment value of chat, peppered with example interactions. It peered into the future in the direction of robotic applications, collective consciousness and digital immortality.
